Powerpuff girls

power-puff girls was the style i was told they want to capture in there backgrounds there are no hard black lines in the show only of characters the directors particularly like this style and being the background artist its my job not to copy but to capture the style without copying it and i will go about by looking at similar shows style wise

Samurai jack

Samurai jack is quite similar to power-puff girls in the sense that it doesn’t use hard black lines to on its environment it blends together more naturally and it does make it more eclectically pleasing the shows also use hard edges on its buildings as well making a more stylized cartoon

Dexter’s Laboratory

iv noticed a lot of these shows that use this style have begun on the cartoon network these shows use hard angles and no black on its backgrounds the color pallet are usually orange and green everything blending into one another i believe i will be able to take what i can see and make it may own

Johnny Bravo

John bravo furniture has a Dr suess quality to it its warp and distorted and i have to be careful to follow this aspect cause if the inside of my house is hyper-realistic furniture we will loose bit of the character that comes along with doing this style

fosters home for imaginary friends is a perfect reference for inside the house as in the cartoon we spend most of the time inside which is perfect for me as the furniture is much more expressive than the other shows and i will be heavily inspired by this
