Fighting words Proposal to Client

After not again a few more times i knew i wanted to take the not so obvious approach to adapting the script from writing to animation. What i wanted to do was suggest that the character Evan is crazy and can’t regenerate cause it’s all in his head. I found it more interesting rather to say  he can regenerate to ask the question CAN HE ? the way i wanted to convey this was have the house appear normal outside a visual representation of his mind and once we enter his mind everything begins to warp the furniture like the shelf and table warp and anthropomorphic bottles around the bar and even the lamp shade in the form of a snail are all manifested by his mind and finally i had his friend nick as a anthropomorphic teacup i found this the best way to suggest he is crazy rather than stating it

the technique i want to use is 2D animation software toonboom its industry standard for this type of animation and as i am already familiar with the programme there wont be any learning curves. i mainly see my characters being rigged rather being done with frame by frame animation. Due to the time restraints i feel anything more ambitious in such a short time so i kept my character rather simple in design to make it less obvious they are rigged as i feel the more detail a charter is the more obvious it is rigged. i kept my style very similar to current trends in animation for example rick and morty , adventure time and regular show these characters are designed with noodle arms and legs and cylinder body these characters are rigged but due to there simple design its bit more seamless then if the characters where more detailed

the best way i want to convey Evan is crazy and its all in his head i had to looks at very surreal artist. Of course that brought me the Salvador Dali and his art style and i was infidelity inspired by his art style and was the initial inspiration for the concept but then i look to one of my favorite illustrator Dr. suess and the way he uses color and warps the environment i think it bolster my animation style .

finally i wanted to create my backgrounds in 3D just purely how i can achieve more difficult camera angles without compromising the animation quality. i will be using Auto desk Maya its a 3D software which is industry standard when it comes to 3d animation
